what is takt?

how is takt different from ChatGPT, Claude, and other SMS bots?

does takt remember me?
Yes. You get 14 days of full memory to start. After the free trial, talking stays free forever, but your memory pauses. Upgrade to Plus or Pro whenever you want it to pick up right where you left off.
can takt watch a video I send?
Yes. Send a clip and Takt watches the frames and hears the audio.
how does image creation work?
Not a prompt box—a back-and-forth. Describe it and Takt makes it. From there, just riff on it: ask for a warmer palette, lose the gradient, or swap the background. Takt adjusts, you react. Visuals, built together.
what else can takt do?
Things you wouldn't expect from an AI. It has real initiative—it doesn't just wait for a prompt, it might follow up with a second thought later or check in on you privately. It understands group dynamics, reading multiple people at once and telling you when a conversation needs another voice. You can pull it aside privately mid-conversation to process a thought while the group chat keeps going. It edits images directly from your source photos, reacts to specific messages with real emojis, and over iMessage, it sends Tapbacks and renames the chat once it catches the vibe. if I tell takt something private, will it leak it to the group?
No. What you share in confidence stays there. Private memories are kept for you, and they are never brought up in public spaces—even if someone explicitly asks.
what are public and private modes?
Not everything needs to be said to the whole group. When you send a message in Public, the whole space sees the conversation. When you switch to Private, it's just between you and Takt. No one else sees it, and no one even knows you sent it. It gives you a way to quietly process a thought, ask a question, or get a second opinion without having to say it out loud.
what are the vibes?
When you create a space, you set the baseline: Casual (sounding board, working it out) or Direct (zero BS, real talk). After that, Takt reads the room and adapts to the energy on its own.
is takt free?
Yes, talking is free. You get a 14-day trial of the full experience—memory, images, everything. Once it ends, you can keep texting for free, or upgrade to Plus or Pro to keep the memory. Making images and video runs on credits: Pro includes 2,000 a month, and anyone can top up on any tier.
what is takt plus and pro?
Takt Plus and Pro are the subscriptions. Takt Plus is memory and initiative—it keeps Takt remembering you across every space and channel, and lets Takt actually text you first. Takt Pro is Plus, but upgraded. It adds monthly credits for images and video, custom space dials, and unlimited spaces. And if even one Pro member is in a room, the whole space gets the premium features.
do I get anything for inviting people?
Yes. You get +1 week of trial and +500 credits (up to 4 times) when someone you bring in does three things: creates an account, verifies their number, and actually messages Takt. Just sending an invite doesn't trigger it—they have to show up.
