What is Takt?

Is Takt free?
Takt is free to start — you get 100 messages on web, iOS, and Android. Create spaces, invite friends, and chat with the AI right away. No credit card needed. When you're ready for more, Takt Pro ($19.99/mo) gives you monthly credits, cross-space memory, image generation, and more. If a Pro member is in your space, everyone gets access to premium features.
What can the AI actually do?
Beyond conversation, Takt can generate and edit images, search the web for current information, process voice messages and files, react to messages with emoji, and @mention specific people. Pro users get persistent memory—the AI learns facts about you and carries them across every space.
What are the vibes?
When you create a space, you pick a vibe: Casual (for real talk, advice, and working through things) or Unfiltered (raw honesty, roasts, zero filter). From there, you can shape the AI's personality in space settings—want a devil's advocate? a hype man? just describe the vibe you're going for and the AI adapts.
How does the AI know when to respond?
Takt uses adaptive timing logic. The AI reads whether people are actively typing, if conversation is flowing or stalling, and whether someone needs help. It waits when you're in the middle of something and steps in naturally when it makes sense—like a good friend would.
Is my data private?
Yes. Private messages are only visible to you and the AI—other participants never see them. We don't sell your data to third parties, and you can delete your account and all associated data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I invite people to a space?
When you create a space, you get a 6-character code. Share it with anyone you want to invite—they can join by entering the code in the app. You can also share a direct link, invite friends from your contacts, add Takt to an existing group chat via text at (646) 281-7686, or add the Takt bot to your Discord server.
What is Takt Pro?
Takt Pro is the paid tier ($19.99/mo). It gives you 2,000 monthly credits (6,000 your first month), space settings dials, cross-space memory, unlimited spaces, unlimited private messages, AI image generation, message deletion, and SMS/iMessage/Discord access. The best part: if any Pro member is in a space, everyone in that space gets access to premium features like memory, settings, and images — though everyone still manages their own messages.
