Delete Your Account
Permanently delete your Takt account and associated data.
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account directly in the app:
- Open Takt and go to Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
- Type DELETE to confirm
Your account will be deleted immediately.
If you are unable to access the app, you can request deletion by emailing [email protected] with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and the email address associated with your account. Email requests are processed within 30 days.
What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your account, profile, and authentication credentials
- Your space memberships and notification preferences
- Your uploaded files (images, voice messages)
- Any payment information and subscription data
What Gets Anonymized
Messages you sent in spaces are anonymized, not deleted. Your identity is removed from all messages so they can no longer be linked back to your account. This preserves the conversation context for other participants in the space.
Active Subscriptions
If you subscribed via the web, your subscription will be automatically cancelled when you delete your account.
If you subscribed via the App Store or Google Play, you must cancel your subscription separately in your device settings to avoid being charged. Deleting your Takt account does not automatically cancel App Store or Google Play subscriptions.
